Questions for Amazon from our ABC General Meeting on March 14, 2026


As Amazon representatives were unable to attend our meeting, we asked for questions that will be presented to Amazon at a promised upcoming limited meeting. The following are the questions that will be asked. The answers will be posted here.


Questions for Amazon from ABC General Meeting on March 14, 2026:

1. What hazardous materials do you plan on having at your completed facility? 

2. What type of electric vehicles will you be using for your delivery fleet? What type of batteries will they be using? 

3. In comparison to other Amazon facilities how much electricity will you be pulling off the grid in a normal day?  

4. How do packages get to the warehouse? Truck or plane? Truck size?

5. Will Amazon pay for all of its own power? How?

6. How did you choose this place?

7. What about permits from Oregon State land use water quality? Other?

8. How much help will this e-commerce facility get from the federal government during building and afterward?

9. Has ICE detained people at other Amazon e-commerce facilities?

10. What will be your hiring policies?

11. What will happen to jobs with increasing use of robots?

12.What will be your safety policies for workers?

13. What if workers want to unionize?

14. How many good jobs are you bringing to the area?

15. What is the wage range?

16. What traffic studies has Amazon and City of Eugene done before signing the permit?

17. Income needed to afford a home in Eugene is $100,000, will you be paying employees that?

18. What is the experience of workers across the country as to what they can experience working in those warehouses? What benefits? If they get hurt?

19. Why did you have a need for non-disclosure agreements?

20. What is NOT working with the current model of shipping via USPS or UPS?

21. What is the projected impact on packages shipped through USPS?

22. Electric or other trucks – not diesel – possible?

23. Where is a copy of your Last Mile Delivery Plan?

24. Where is a copy of your Good Neighbor Agreement?

25. Will Amazon pay for all mitigations – environment, traffic & health care?

26. Is there a plan to use drones for delivery?

  1. Why weren't all these questions above answered BEFORE the deal was signed.

  2. Why do large corporations get a great deal on not paying property taxes and then move their operations after 5 years?
