Having an efficient home can make a significant difference in your climate footprint and your energy bills. Beyond Toxics is teaming up with the Springfield Eugene Tenant Association, the Eugene Springfield NAACP, and Fossil Free Eugene to help provide information and tools you can use to keep your home warm this winter and efficient all year long. This Weatherization Workshop is part of our Just Transition Series for BIPOC, tenants, and low-income community members.
Weatherization refers to home improvements that increase the efficiency of your home. Both homeowners and renters can learn how to protect their homes against the elements through presentations and practical demonstrations from Homes for Good, the Toolbox Project, and the Beyond Toxics Team. Participants will receive a $50 stipend for their time and free weatherization supplies to get started. Pizza and drinks will be provided, and Spanish translation will be available.
